Never see that one - migth have a look!

I actually started out posting mostly in there but it seemed to get a bit quiet after a while so moved over to this thread.

Pleasant and slightly hilly 6.7 miles walked. I might not do much the rest of the day. I have increased the mileage and climbing quite a bit this week and the legs are feeling it.

Morning all. A beautiful day beckons.
Was up at 04.00, AGAIN!! why does that happen? Went back at 6ish and slept heavy.
I will wake up, have a bit of breckie then hopefully get a walk in.
I mentioned a couple of weeks back that I won £25 of vouchers at a local pub. Daughter and SiL came back off holiday yesterday so I have said we'll go for a late pub lunch later..... I will chuck the £25 in the pot.
Re' the marathon.....they are not human. They run 26 miles at a FAR faster pace than I ran my 8 miles at my best, it truly amazes me.

Re- Marathon. At least most stay upright, unlike the robots I saw earlier this week. Can someone please explain the point of robots running ? It eludes me. Several years since I ran it (1988) It was hard, even as a seasoned runner at that time.

Right - What year is it???

I'm asking because I have just got a letter from the Inland Revenue
and they have sent me a cheque!!!!

What on Earth am I supposed to do with that???
not seen one for a few decades or so!!!

Luckily I have a Santander account and - by some miracle - they still have a bran open on our high street
so I will go down there on Monday and see what you have to do with cheques

apart from registering them as an historic relic!!

If you have the Santander app select "Pay and Transfer" from the Home screen and follow the on screen instructions. Very easy.

Several (or more, I don't know) bank accounts have the option to pay in a cheque.
My car road fund rebate was paid into Nat West thusly.
You have to use the app to take a photo of it, both sides, i think. No part of the cheque can be missed or it tells you to do it again.

Good morning. It's another beautiful day. I've had toast, eggs and bacon for breakfast. It hasn't helped as I still feel rough from a poor sleep. Shower next to see if that helps. I've prepped my gravel bike for tomorrow, just need to make a picnic in the morning, we have about 70 miles to do. Not much else happening really. I'm going to a local nursery shortly and hope to find veg plants etc. for the allotement

Why are some members (can't find the relevant posts) adverse to using a banking app on a mobile phone? They are very secure.

Bit drizzly here at the moment - was going to finish the last 8 sq.m of painting the outside of the house. But now will have to wait for the wall to dry out again later in the week. The great north wall has taken since October to paint due to incessant rain without big enough gaps to dry out properly before painting. Crazy!

Have a good day everyone!
