In 1981 I went on the schools ship SS Uganda round the Baltic Sea, in 1982 it was converted to a hospital ship for the Falklands War - in her pomp:

I came across that site about a year ago. It can seriously take up great chunks of time!

They have a tall ships week on the Thames each year. At times, they give a tantalising glimpse of what the river must have looked like before the age of steam.

Sorry,
I should have mentioned this,
I am using an AIS receiver and have 'live' local traffic running on a program called 'Shipplotter' my laptop but I don't feed info to any specific site yet...
