I've owned the Kodiaq, for 4 years today
Seen here, on the day of collection, with its predecessor behind it, still the only time it's been really clean

Since collecting it, it's only covered 26,372 miles
Heck!, it only did 4,970miles between the 2024 - 2025 MOT tests
Between the 2023 & 2024 tests, it covered a few miles more, at 5,929miles (that included a long weekend in Edinburgh/2 weekends in Cumbria)

Will I keep it as long as the Octavia?
Who knows?, but 'up to press', yes!!

I saw a Octavia with 18" alloys. The first owner paid extra for this. Why? What did it offer over 17" or even 16" alloys?

I'm only asking because it seemed a good option for us. I'm assuming a harsher ride but better handling. Would I even notice that I doubt it. So am I better waiting for an Octavia with more normal sized alloys?

Joined the Skoda crew. Octavia 3 due to be collected in one to two weeks time.

Two niggles, the 12v socket in the central console is missing, I need a suitable cover, flip top perhaps rather than actual cigarette lighter style grip.

Secondly, no tyre or sealant kit. What's the recommended option? Space saver tyre or sealant kit? Or is there space for a full sized wheel inside the boot? Any opinions? What did you do or have in your Octavia?

And finally, have I made the right decision? We think yes, but there's always doubt.

As we entered Hawes (Wensleydale), from Beckermonds, via Fleet Moss, ‘Gayle Beck’ presents an opportunity this time past it, as daughter was with me to take photographs

It’s a very slippery base, even in 1st, at about 1200RPM, the traction-control could be felt searching for grip, at all 4 wheels

Tyre; I had a space-save in my Octavia
I never used it, but kept meaning to get a full-size

My Kodiaq runs on 235/55 x 18, but has a 215/75(?) spare

It's the cover I'm missing not the socket. Got an aluminium cheapo for now but not sure what would have been in there. It's a long time since I saw an actual lighter in one. What is the Skoda plug for this socket like?
