I took all of the mats out, to scrub the last of the Cumbrian mud off them
Although, it'll be replaced with Northumbrian, & Scottish, mud in a fortnight

Wife, daughter & b/f, & myself are having a 'long weekend' in Edinburgh

EDIT @ 20:58
The 'inverted U' covers the transmission tunnel, a clever touch that (personally) I've never seen before

@Jameshow
I was back-tracking looking for something, & re-read our comments

That said, it’s still infinitely preferable to most competitors
(especially the present LR products)
Better than a disco sport?
Not been in a disco sport but sister has your kodiaq but base spec.
James, that’s my opinion
I simply don’t like the look of any of the present range
The engineering might be there, but aesthetically they do nothing for me

The last one l’d have wanted was a Discovery 4
That said, l’d still have a Defender Tdi (1994-1998 model), or a Range Rover TDV8 (‘series 3’)

Even (& I know it's not always to be believed) 'Top Gear' magazine rated it. compared to a Discovery of the same year
This edition (September 2020)
The T50
Gordon Murray, in the interview/feature says this about the T50, as "It's Got A Good Chance Of Being The Last Analogue Supercar" (ie; purely ICE driven)

Ironic, as the Disco Sport badge has become a byword for woeful reliability even by JLR standards. That the Skoda does not have the badge is a very good thing indeed.

The joys of keyless go, an answer to a question no one has asked.

I always make sure there’s a spare key battery in the car. One drama was enough

Is that specifically on a kodiaq or VAG cars? I've had zero problems (non VAG stuff).

Is that the engine or electrics?

2.2 PSA engine I believe?

They work fine until the battery in the key fob packs up. Try explaining the complex process of opening and starting the car with dead key battery to Mrs Gunk over the phone. She ended up calling the RAC

Wednesday 29th

The Kodiaq went for its MoT test this morning
Fail

All fine, bar brakes, very little rear effort
All 4 discs/pad sets required
Oh well, they’re ‘wear & tear’ items

I’d better do some bank shifts

Thursday 30th

Collected the Kodiaq earlier this AM

The above mentioned items, plus a couple of ABS sensors

Oddly, it wouldn’t start for him, so he had to change the fob battery
He didn’t charge me for that….
