About 3 months ago Mrs B found a lump and only told me when she needed to get the results from the hospital. turned out it was somethign called DCIS, Ductal Carcinoma In-Situ, which is a collection of cancer cells growing inside a milk duct, so they are contained and can usually be treated successfully.
Still, when you hear that about the woman you care more about in the world than anything your world kind of stop being important.
Today, after surgery to remove the affected duct and a lymph node, her resulst came back with the above magic words, "all clear". Nothing in the lymph nodes and the cancerous cells were all contained within the duct with a clear margin of healthy tissue around.
To say Browser, is relieved, happy and a bit tearful would be the understatement of the year!!
Wifey still has a three-week radiotherapy course to negotiate but this is a belt-and-braces preventative measure to stop future reoccurrence. I am going to go and have a couple of bottles of wine now

Such a fab ending Browser, and credit to your wife for not ignoring her concerns. It must have been a nerve-wracking time waiting for the results. I hope Mrs B copes well with the radiotherapy.

And as for you GUYS, check yourselves too. My hubby found a lump in his testicle in 2009 - he went to the GP the next day - by the time we saw the oncologist just a few weeks later, it had spread to his lymph nodes in his neck and abdomen. He's fine now after various surgeries and chemotherapy, but the lump was quite large by the time he found it and quite advanced so perhaps could have been found earlier? So guys and girls, keep checking .

Seconded Mange-tout! My in-laws next-door-neighbour has had to have three ops recently for breast cancer and Jane met and became friends with a lady is hospital having a mastectomy to stop a stage three cancer. Both of whom checked themselves and found something of concern, both of whom had had mamograms which showed nothing, but the following biopsy told the true tale. Cancer is a ba5tard of a condition, don't let it get the better of you.
Off out for an india with Mrs B and the offspring tonight, we figure we've a good reason to celebrate

Just a note to the guys, especially younger ones. There is plumbing to the back and top of your bits which is normal, any lumps in the plumbs need checking. If you've had the snip then there is likely to be lumps and bumps in the plumbing, this is normal. It's the plumbs that need checking.
