Theyre rare in red and do look good. The 2.0 LPT is a bit weedy but can safely be taken a little beyond 200BHP where it becomes a willing little mill.

MOT history, isnt bad on that one. If I had the space id have that to make a pair.

Tempting at that price it's a fair bit of fuel!

What's the hood like on the motorway?

Is the lpt better on fuel than the 2.5 / T5

The hoods a decent lined jobs, relatively Q at motorway speeds with no buffeting. Not that I ever drive mine with it up.

None of them are that juicy unless driving at 10/10ths everywhere. Driven sensibly theyll all return North of 30mpg. LPTs run less boost (but not by much) but are higher compression, so while peak power isn't as steep theyre fairly ballsy elsewhere.

Aye, that red one would make a nice project.

I'd like to make something absolutely clear for the purpose of full disclosure.

I am not, and will never be a man who can be trusted with a spanner

I do however read things quite carefully and don't cut corners where it would compromise the integrity of the job :okay:

Just another one whilst we're on the specialist knowledge theme. Never replace a Volvo water pump unless it's rough and needs doing*, and if you do, only ever use a genuine Volvo replacement, never an aftermarket one.

* And in that connection, look critically at any car that's reported to have had a change, usually along with the aux belt, and if it's not the genuine article, change it for one.
