Plenty of water towers, just not in hillier areas 😄
The GLW who is a Dundee lass was initially puzzled by the many water towers in East Anglia when she moved down to Norwich in 1993 to study at the UEA.
'Cos up in Scotland, they don't need 'em - ! :laugh:
 
Sunday 9th

This afternoon, we drove past the Water-Tower, between Flockton & Midgely, near the entrance to HMP New Hall, whilst 'out & about' (x 14)

It's been converted into a dwelling, with a glass lower-floor!!!

Sadly traffic precluded a stop, I will try to return though!

The upper storeys look to be completed!!
The access (a lift??) still looks to be under construction

It's on the A637

When I’m ambling along with Claud it’s definitely a stop and take photos kind of ride.

There are hundreds and hundreds of water towers ... all RAF bases and ex RAF bases have one .... all Army bases and ex Army bases have one ..... Every were the land is flat have them ,,,,, .... these days usually with telecoms masts on them .....
There are 3 in the 5 mile radius of my home in South Yorks ....
I'm up for a challenge .....
