So we're back to being lightweight then
Well bit of a pointless and obvious thread but a lighter bike certainly makes a difference on climbs, just took 3+ minutes off of a level 4 climb in my area, happy to say the least with my purchase
They are when you find them, the only ones I get lately are headwinds, had my cycling buddy moaning at me the other week as he had to pedal downhill due to the windsTail winds are awesome, aren't they..
I could but then I'd have the missus to answer to and she'd banish the bike to the shedYou could make it even lighter by ditching Kermit and the dog
I can relate to that, @lee1980simThe old bike was my claud butler explorer 500 which with the stuff I have on it weighs 17kg

So was it the bike or the stuff on it that weighed ? Although I must admit I can't see the point of carting around more weight than you have to.The old bike was my claud butler explorer 500 which with the stuff I have on it weighs 17kg
Combination of both... Saddle bag with puncture kit spare inner tubes etc etc, mudguards water bottle and cage all add to the initial weight of said bikeSo was it the bike or the stuff on it that weighed ? Although I must admit I can't see the point of carting around more weight than you have to.
