Why did we have to have ceramic cartridge taps...bloody cr*p things drip like crazy after 18months and cost a fortune to repair compared to the good old days of a rubber washer.
Circa 10p for a rubber washer.
Circa £30 for ceramic inserts for mine.

Things I don't get in this modern world are people saying they don't get things in this modern world when my aged dear old grandpops many many years ago used to say he didn't get things in the modern world.

In a similar vein my dad once read something by Samuel Pepys. Apparently he wrote (among many other things) about 'the kids of today'

I remember when the switch on a torch or bike light just switched it on or off. Now you need to cycle through countless different flashing modes I don't want!

All this talk of improving road safety yet they build cars that are almost impossible to see out of!

They wanna be cool and adding Z is a cheap way of doing it.
You gotta be hip.
They have no time.
The washing machine can talk to your smartphone and advise you when it has completed (since you have no time because you are being cool with your hip jeans).
