I don't know much about Cinco de Mayo
He's the Anti-Obama. He doesn't waste time blowing hot air, he just simply goes and does what he thinks needs doing. I completely dig what he's about.

In fairness, unlike Obama, he doesn't have to worry about little things like media scrutiny and democracy and whatnot. So that probably makes things easier for him.

[Betamax was] ... the better quality system of the two, but JVC's VHS format gained a larger market share and Betamax had pretty much died a death by the end of 1981.

It lived on though as Betacam, developed from Betamax (but not compatible with it), which became a professional broadcasting industry standard and was still around long after VHS has been replaced by the DVD. </geekmode>

The quality difference was marginal though as I recall, and hard to see on a normal telly of the 80s. The perceived quality difference was partly a function of Betamax players being so expensive, which in turn was a result of Sony refusing to let anyone else make them.

Looks like Nicholas Angel though.

Unnecessary in the UK where the washer is is usually in the kitchen, but if it's in the laundry or basement then getting a beep in your pocket to tell you it's done (or off balance) would be quite useful.
I read about a denial of service attack recently where the crim had harnessed lots of the world's internet connected toasters to execute it. Why would anyone need an internet connected toaster ?
