Open heart surgery. I've just not got the knack.

Flying a 747 it didn't go well!!🤣

I’ve only ever used electric shavers so I’ve never learnt how to use a razor with a blade.

My problem now though is that the last time I had to buy an electric shaver I couldn’t find a mains operated shaver and so I was forced into buying a mains rechargeable one instead. As I suspected it was absolutely rubbish compared to the old mains operated shavers.

I’d be very interested therefore if anyone is able to recommend some good mains operated (not rechargeable) shavers which are still available.

I used to only use electric ones
then I "lost" one on a weekend trip at University

I was expecting the organisers to say they had found it and return it so I needed a cheap "something" in the meantime

so I ended up buying a Bic razor and some shaving foam from the University shop
then had to teach myself to use it without severe blood loss

which was scary but I managed it
I have been using them ever since - although I did have a time when I got rashes
I found that a week with the electric one then a week with the Bic worked fine

nowadays I just is Gillette Fusion - because I forgot mine once when I went to check my Dad's haouse was OK when he was in hospital
and I found Gillette had sent one as a free sample

so I used that and it was much better than Bic

One of the few 'Father and Son' things my Dad did was when he taught myself and my brother how to shave. I was about 14 at the time and didn't like the foam near my mouth 🤣

I used disposables then I heard a discussion on advertising where one person said the shaving comanies knew their disposable razors didn't achieve as good a shave as safety razors, and that it was a case study in advertising to see how they'd managed despite that to persuade people otherwise.
I changed to a safety razor and they were right: a much better shave, although it did take some practice.

I can bunny hop, it isn't really as difficult as it seems, you just jump and hope the force of you holding the handlebars and/or you being clipped in will make the bike follow you upwards. 🤣

I've never tried to track stand.

Wheelies, I used to do them as a kid, but not in recent years. I should try again. Maybe.

Wheelies are a thing you really must try before you die - quite possibly, just before you die!

I played with a unicycle for all of a minute and concluded that it was utterly impossible.

I figured if I kept trying it would just stay impossible

Along with juggling and the rubix cube!

I was always the last person to get picked for the football team and somebody in my class had an artificial leg.

I was always the last person chosen

and then suddenly I was one of the first - which was weird
It got to the point where if one of the "team captains" chose me or Brian (the other prop) then the other captain HAD to chose the other one or we would just run every scrum all over the place at will

it was weird going from one extreme to the other

Very similar to my story. Always used an electric one. Lost it, and went disposable until I found it. Never reappeared.

I now use the changeable heads after my wife persuaded me to reduce my wastage.
