New D+B isn't the same though... lot of vanilla...
Bring back Cream Soda too!

It's around if you look hard enough.

I miss the Lowcock's version that was made in Middlesborough.

An on that theme I saw a soft drinks roundsman doing home deliveries in Bradford the other month. I though that the door to door trade had died decades ago.

Up until about last October, we still got glass milk bottles, but they stopped it on cost grounds

Father Sodding Christmas! Oh, how I screamed like a girl and scrabbled at the bedclothes when I opened my eyes and saw him standing at the end of my bed, staring at me! I'd run out of clean stockings, so he had to use a condom!

It's a bit more complicated than that...
I had a Bovril from a kiosk at Victoria station before the July FNRttC. They didn't put any sherry in it, the tight gits.

Bovril belongs on toast. Or, even better, cinnamon and raisin bagels. But it's impossible to get proper big jars of it any more.

I came across Golden Wonder crisps in Scotland a couple of weeks ago - haven't seen them for years.

Proper Coke in glass bottles? I'm off to Tescos on an urgent mission.

We were camping in the Peak District a few weeks ago and the village shop still sold milk in glass bottles. You had to rinse them out 'n return 'em 'n that. It was cool!

I don't know if it still exists or not but this thread has reminded me of a breakfast cereal called puffed wheat. I was never a big fan of sugar puffs, but puffed wheat was basically sugar puffs without the sugar. Wonderful, if you like eating polystyrene slugs in milk.
