Definitely no guards on First Great Eastern (though they are pretty good at having ticket inspectors on board quite regularly).

ok, but this was SWT, and if they have guards on the Saturday afternoon South West London loop train, it's reasonable to assume they have guards on every train.

But (and this is why as a regular SWT user, I'm unsure of the rules) they mostly don't walk up and down the trains, at least in the Oyster zone.

I didn't see him doing a lot other than hopping off at the stations. Indeed I only saw him at all as I was in the carriage with the bike space next to the guard's spot

I think the bike belongs to the woman in red and the man asleep is actually trapped by her inconsiderate behaviour. For all we know, he may be still there.

This looks like it was set up, the train doesn't look full.
The cyclist shouldn't have put his bike on the seats though.
