Cameron won't agree a change in the voting system, it doesn't benefit the tories.
Not true. The present system benefits Labour hugely, penalises the Conservatives by about 40 seats (their constituencies have far more voters) and penalises the LibDems by about 100 seats (their vote is spread evenly across all constituencies).

Is true.

If the Tories were to change the electoral system to PR (which is what the LibDems want) then there would be more hung parliaments which wouldn't benefit the tories (nor Labour for that matter) because they wouldn't be able to force their unpopular policies through, instead they would have to rely on other parties.

the reason the currunt system benefits Labour is because the Labour vote tends to be metropolitan areas like Liverpool and Manchester where there is a large population, while the Tory vote tends to be in rural areas like Yorkshire where there is less population so less votes for the Tories.

So if the Tories where to change the system to PR, then without boundary changes as well the Tories would still have less of the vote.
