Saveloy and chips

Picked up the saveloys as an impulse buy in B&M, and the chips were home made, triple-cooked in beef dripping. Naughty, but very nice.

I love a good saveloy. Unfortunately, the chippy I go to occasionally has no idea how to prepare them. They're not supposed to be dry & crispy at the ends ☹️

Last night was a salad. Couldn't face hot food (apart from the boiled new potatoes, obviously 😉)

Tonight was salad, too!
Chicken breast, lettuce & tomatoes with a big dollop of coleslaw on the top.

Warm cherry pie & squirty cream for pud 🍓

In an Airbnb, so Sainsbury’s slow cooked ham hocks with sweet potato fries and cauliflower cheese and mixed veg.

Lazy dinner but very tasty. A bottle of Italian Primitivo Rosato may have been involved too 🍷

Cook is relative.

Had a lovely cheese & salad sandwich on wholemeal farmhouse bread.

I did make a peach compote jelly to use up some peaches that suddenly decided they were all going to go overripe in one go, but it hasn't set yet.

Hunter's chicken, new potatoes & green beans followed by strawberries and vappy milk.

Another sandwich tonight - ham, cheese & coleslaw. But I *did* have a portion of the peach compote jelly with a nice dollop of greek yoghurt. All I can say is what a fabby way to use up overripe fruit!

Currently poaching some chicken in a herb stock. Herbs etc (bay leaf, parsley, oregano, thyme and rosemary) all from the garden.

Hot Dogs. Made with Beef Sausages from the local Butcher. Fried onions ontop. And Air Fried chips on the side……..
