Quick question, I was checking for the source of a creak, and noticed that the screws that hold the derailleur hanger onto the frame felt very loose. The frame is aluminium, and the screws look like steel, so don't want to risk stripping the threads on the frame. Anyone know what’s the recommended torque for those screws?

Shimano manuals state 8-10 Nm, which sounds pretty tight. (Meaning tighter than I've tended to do them with no issues ...)

Shimano won't be recommending a specification for hanger to frame screws.
Good point. My misreading of the actual question. (Assuming 'hanger' in the OP means the sacrificial hanger part connecting the rear derailleur to the frame.)

As an aside then: 8-10 Nm seems a lot for the derailleur to hanger bolt, which is what they *are* talking about in the manuals.

This ^^^ Likely it will never be taken off in its/the frame's lifetime.
