Lefty tighty. Get it righty.
it looked to me as if Pog still had the legs to win the sprint; but chose not to for PR reasons. Sure, Remco got a massive leadout/tow from Pog, but I still think on that kind of climb Pog could have outsprinted him.

We'll never know. Pog certainly sat down and gave up, but he appeared to be going all out to begin with. Remember, Remco is light and has tremendous acceleration (recall how he won the worlds in Australia and also the Olympic RR - admittedly neither involving Pog) so on that sprint alone I wouldn't say Pog was unbeatable.

People who dislike Remco will be certain that Pog politely handed it to him. I'm not so convinced that Pog is so charitable and uncannibalistic.

But we'll never know.

I said before, if it was Jonas Pog would have made that last effort. If he'd really wanted the stage he'd have attacked from 500m-3km out.
As it is, Remco is absolutely no slouch on an uphill finish, he's got plenty of punch, and Pogacar was standing on his pedals to close him. He sits back down because I think he decided it just wasn't worth it - especially as he might actually lose it. Better to be thought to have gifted it than to show a potential weakness when everyone thinks you're impenetrable.
