?), it looked to me as if Pog still had the legs to win the sprint; but chose not to for PR reasons. Sure, Remco got a massive leadout/tow from Pog, but I still think on that kind of climb Pog could have outsprinted him.
That kind of climb? I don't think it was steep enough at that point. The steep bits of that climb were near the start and they failed to drop Remco on that.

A rider that hangs on can still be knackered after 11km at average 9% (I think?). Pog has won a lot of hilltop sprints (and a few pan-flat ones!), Remco's more of a diesel. We know Pog is stronger than his domestique, so probably had something left. Past mountain stages suggest Remco is not as strong as Pog, so quite possibly had nothing left after those 11km. We don't know either way, let's be honest!

I'd love to think that Remco is now strong enough to win like that on merit, but my gut feeling is that Pog coulda won if he chose.
