The route is the same one used by the trans cambrian sportive 87 miles and approx 10,000ft of ascent

. . . . . . . we could always make it a round hundred ^_^ 103 to be more precise.

Is the distance finalised now ?

I suspect that I'll need to fit some lights on my bike.

103 pubbers the extra 16 is erm flattish.

What time do you reckon the ride will end ?

It might be quite dark, by the time I finish  - hopefully, we can make an early start ?

I've just checked - sunset is 17:56 on the 20th October.

Are 'Ozzie' and Greg forum members ? I've not seen their responses on this thread. I hope that they are crap riders - or about the same standard as me . . . whichever's slower    .
Ozzie is dogged but slow up hill. He's never done a ton before and is keen to have company at the rear end. Well, we are from Brighton.

I shall be bringing lights; LD might end up being unable to sit down properly if he tries wielding a big stick in my direction.

. . . . . . . I get plenty of hills in but rarely get the distances in just hour and half two hours but I find them fine

There are hills, and then there are LD's hills . . . . . . . hopefully, we won't be subjected to another Devil's Staircase . . . will we . . . ?
