We ate all the goodies during our Saturday afternoon "picnic" so we are in hiding with all the lights turned off :blush:.

I've just had the first guiser in years, a little girl.
I told her I didn't do this trick or treat nonsense and she would need to sing a song, recite a poem, or something...she told a joke and received an apple for her effort. I think it was the only item of healthy eating in her bucket:smile:.

There's a general rule in our village that if you don't have Halloween decorations up then the kids don't call...pretty good idea to be fair!). Only problem is that we've made the effort this year and have treats aplenty! We live down a quiet lane and nobody has called :-(

Big bowl of sweets by the front door, not quite as big as what it was a few days ago despite no one knocking.

The do have 80yards of dark gravel driveway to walk up so this may put many kids off.
