Aye, the peasants were becoming too healthy...........................And as the daughter of a grocer they weren't buying as much milk as they should

I was never happy with the school milk when I was at school
my parents always refused to tell the school I could just not have any (like my friend)

but it was delivered every morning about 9-9:30

and sat on the step in plain sight until 10:30 in full sun in summer

this is probably why I never drink milk and have black coffee!!

I just squeezed in school before Thatcher snatched the milk away.
Best thing she ever did.
I never drank it, disgusting stuff.

I don't like milk unflavoured, never have. I will gladly drink a milkshake but otherwise no.
One of my slightly guilty treats is a Maccies vanilla shake, yum. My wife despairs though, she's very anti UPF.

You utter snowflakes!!

Try living alone, forgetting that you even have milk, finding it, then using it whilst it has a 'funny' smell (and taste) to it and is starting to separate in your tea/coffee! 🤣

Next stop... Cottage cheese!

Nice little hack - if you have ice cream put that in coffee in an emergency, tastes different but works!

when that happened I always just chucked the tea and milk

I started keeping a stash of the little milk cartons you get in some cafe's and takeways - for emergencies

separated milk is just disgusting - possibly related to by rather extreme aversion to cheese!!

Yes, but when needs must and all that! 🤣

It's usually only at the stage where it's in tiny bits and is more like a powder.

I have also had bottles of milk which really have been left for ages and are now cheese! 😳🤦‍♂️🤣

Nah, by far worse is spilling milk in a car. I did this years ago and despite cleaning it up as much as possible the stink when it dried out was horrendous.

The smell goes away after a week or so, then a week after that a far worse smell appears. I ditched the carpet !

A friend of my dad's was recounting a similar incident and next time they met my dad asked if he'd managed to get rid of the smell. "Yes, I sold the car!"

Yuk
slightest bit of dogieness and it's in the bin if I'm involved!!

Sometimes also, but at the same time, I have been caught out and thought it was ok, start drinking and then at a certain point, discovered that, no, it has started to separate in the heat! 🤣

Now, I 'aint wasting a perfectly good teabag, so, sod it, it isn't going to kill me!

That's what I mean about the 'powder' - It has simply started to react with the heat!

Have you thought of using cold water to make yer cuppa, thereby removing the heat and thus saving a teabag.
