Why not? Gratitude for small things is healthy.
It is and yes, it might've been an important prescription for maybe something 'life preserving'. If it was then she maybe could've said something like "Thanks to whoever handed in my prescription in Tesco this evening, the prescription items are very important for my health concerns". All kinds of 'thank yous' are posted on that page. Some thanking someone for handing in their gloves, some for paying for their shopping, some for handing in their bank card, etc etc. I know an elderly bloke who although dresses like a tramp and has long straggly matted hair has plenty in the bank. He told me the other week that he'd had his shopping paid for and someone else bought him a full breakfast in a cafe, both thinking he was a tramp or a beggar.

One of the shop renters/owners has contacted the council and the landlord who are going to write to all the 5 shops, asking them to respect the wishes of others and not to impose their religious beliefs/practices on the other shop owners. The letter won't mention who they suspect (though it's common knowledge who is responsible) and will be sent to all five shops so as not to single anyone out and to not give clues to who has complained.
