No there won't be. If an app can be used in either, then it usually detects the orientation of teh tablet, and automatically adjusts.

I have a couple of apps which do tat, and I try to avoid them.

I suspect such apps were probably written with phones in mind, which most people tend to use in portrait mod most of the time, rather than tablets which are quite hard to use in portrait mode, with standard cases.
That dictionary app popped up in my Chrome browser but I happen to have bought the self-contained app for use on my phone, and you are right - that insists on portrait mode.

I should confess something - I have written an Android app (a puzzle game) and that currently also only works in portrait mode. I will change it!

Wordle only works in portrait mode too

I was helping a lady a few weeks ago and she had had that problem

she got a stand for the tablet that was separate to the keyboard and could take it in either mode

so if it insisted on portrait she just turned the tablet round

Back to tablet annoyances... Can you spot what is annoying about this?

The stupid app insists that the device should be in portrait mode but I have it in a keyboard case, permanently in landscape!!

I'll see if there is some way that I can force it to landscape, but I bet that there isn't.

Someone told you you're developing a paunch and you had to look it up, and now you're annoyed?

Ha ha!

I was just writing in the weight loss thread and wondered if Chrome had a dictionary app attached to it.

The tablet came with a simple cover with a fold-out stand on the back but it would be very annoying to keep switching between covers just to use one or two apps! I probably will use the other cover from time to time but not routinely.

9 packs of crumpets ..

You have two per breakfast / supper which leaves one remaining!😭

9 packs of crumpets!! That's a whole lotta crumpets! Out usual pack contains 6 crumpets. There is no way I could eat 12 crumpets to myself for breakfast/supper.
I think 54 crumpets per week is a bit of a problem! Have you sought help?

I always used to think 2 crumpets was a normal amount

then I relised that they come in packs of 6 or 9
and in stacks of 3

so it seems normal to have a stack as a single portion - i.e. 3

I suspect this is something that has not been missed by the marketing department of certain crumpet makers

(not a problem now - I'm not allowed them anyway as they contain wheat!!)
