Cheers for the help rob3rt. Will looking into the changes, would an inline seatpost help, as my saddle is already forward all the way due to short thigh length, but long lower legsJust buy some clip on bars and whack them on then (Zipp Vuka Alumina are probably the more versatile available and despite being Zipp, they are priced fairly acceptably). Will probably also need to push the saddle forward and up. May have to take some spacers from under the stem and put them above as well. Such tweaks and then some fine tuning should get you a good portion of the speed gain.
Ok no probs, going to get some clip ons and stick it on the turbo to get used to the poisition over winterYou will have to wait and see what the position is like with the clip-on bars to know where the saddle needs to go really.
No carbon at the moment, just standard alloy barsIf your running carbon bars, make sure they support clip on's
Zipp's own bars are not all clip on compatible, the carbon bars which are have alloy inserts at the point where the clip on's mount

Sorry @Mr Haematocrit im not using zipp bars at the momentWorth checking them still just to be safe IMHO.. I just checked and some Zipp alloy bars are not clip on compatible either which is why I edited my post.

I will, during the winter it will just be on the turbo, then ill buy specific bars for next years tt'sMight be worth checking the model of bars you are running, just to be safe.
I'm not aware of what is different between bars suitable for clip ons and not..... but if the bars break its going to end messy.
The fear is enough to make me check.. lol
