Another point of view. This forum, and particually Cafe is what keeps me coming back, its diversity. Start making some things off limits (ie cars) and you take away that diversity and it becomes less interesting...and all the risks that involves.

FWIW, I don't consider myself a petrol head, I've got an Astra fer Chrissakes  but appreciate the freedom they give me...at a cost I know but...its a machine, I like machines, cars, bikes, anything mechanical.
This . There’s a space for everything on a forum . If it gets lairy it gets shut .

Any mode of transport that can convey more Fray Bentos pies than I can carry on a bike gets a thumbs up from me! :okay:
"Beast O'Burden", pictured, can carry a 1/3 of a ton.

I can beat that I think ..... 12 year old Toyota Corolla with 108k miles on the clock . Hardly the stuff of a car devotee, but it does it's job well and frees up money for stuff like - bikes.

52 plate corolla too. 2.0l turbo dirty diesel with only 140,000 on it. Still tight as a drum and no want or need to change. Can get over 60mpg on a run or 50 plus combined if I'm being careful.

Before you say it's not exactly green it is actually. Island green. :okay:

Why not just create a motoring section and Chuck all car threads in there?

@Brandane you can drive my car ... ^_^
I don't like driving or talking about cars: once I offended a prospective suitor by asking him what made is car was, after having been a passenger a few times ... it's a Porche ... he said all aloof ... erm ... ok ...
Before I started cycling I used to love being driven on an outing to Loch Lomond on a rare Sunday off.
The driver not so much as we used to get stuck in traffic for hours!
Now I can cycle to Loch Lomond, have a relaxing few hours there, cycle back, in half of the time it used to take by car on Sundays.

But should my love of other wheeled machines preclude me from taking part in discussions on a cycling forum?
Absolutely not: you must, however, be able to keep an average of at least 5mph, or you will be redirected to the slow bicycle forum.
There is one on FB, I'm a member ^_^

Really, what are you on about? Are you an admin in disguise with access to what posts I might have reported? Something that I think I have done a handful of times in many years on here, and certainly none in recent memory.
Nay, they are just fishing.
