Tyre size ??

Hi all wondering if you could help me ... I ve brought a c/butler explorer 300 and the tyres are Kenda and I was going to replace them with continental ultra sport!!!
tyre size so far is 700x35c-28x ????
what size can I fit will 700 x 28 be ok !!!
Thanks ( any one doing the 30k for totaly wild in kent?)

700 is the nominal diameter of the rim, 35c is the width of the tyre.

whether you can safely fit 28's depends on the width of the rim itself.
