22... has three kids... and expecting another...... Christ.
not heard of a condom then?
im 20... with girlfriend of 7 years... get this... no kids.
but then we both hold down steady jobs...
find it sad that having that many kids by that age nowadays is the "norm", one of my friends of 21 years old, never had a job now has 2 kids and relies on people like myself to pay for his lovely lifestyle.

do what we did to my brothers, friends, sisters boyfriend when we found out she was pregnant. escort him to a small dark room and make it known that if he does ever do a runner etc or doesn't step up to the mark... he wont be making anymore babies..

Well Nana is going to try and knit some stuff for baby. She knits now but only with one hand as she had a stroke some years ago, so uses a hoop. She knits for the Christmas charity boxes - think she's upto over 1500 hats. This will be a challenge as she is going to try and knit with two needles, and one hand ?

There will be trouble if he farks off. I said to him (over a few beers) to look after my neice - that was mid October, so given she's half way (we've just found out) she was pregnant then when I gave him a lecture  - trust me to put my foot in it.

Do you want a medal? Big deal you haven't decided to have children but guess what plenty of young people do, and they go to work too!
If you don't want to pay for your friend's lifestyle stop giving him money. Oh, wait, you're talking about taxes? Because we all know virtually all of your tax goes on benefits. hospitals, schools, emergency services and the like fund themselves.

and there's me worried about an uninvited puppy…

a girl i was at school added me on facebook a few years ago. she had hers very young, while i was studying for a levels. her's are now grown up and she's enjoying being child-free, whereas i'm the same age and have two kids still at primary school. she's about to become a grandparent too, and seems very happy about it.

My OH had his daughter when he was 21. Yes it was a "mistake", though through contraceptive failure rather than negligence. Thus he became a granddad a day before his 49th birthday (daughter was luckier with contraception!) and is very active and thrilled with the role. Daughter being born made him grow up extremely quickly and I believe is part of the reason he became successful in his career, although in other ways it was very hard on him. And we all love each other and love being together, so it can turn out pretty well...

I like the Facebook link to having children very young.

I know Zuckerburg is a smart cookie but that really is damn clever.

Do you get one sprog/nipper/little one per so many likes or is it by exceeding a number of friends threshold?

Slightly OT, but...

I think that "While you were away in Australia I bought a puppy" would require a LOT less explanation than "While you were away in Australia I became pregant"

Actually that requires very little in the way of explanation. It's just that the explanation is not likely to be well received.
