Urinating in public yes/no ?

Last week while I was out on an early evening ride, I came round a tight right angle bend to find a young woman in running kit crouched at the side of the road - she had picked a spot where there is almost always a puddle over a good part of the road. It was only when she called "Sorry" that I realised what she was doing (this was only about 2 seconds after first seeing her).

I just called back "No problem" and carried on, I was past her in nor more than 5 seconds from first seeing her.

At least she was at the side of road, I came across a cyclist crouched in the middle of the road - she didn't say anything.

A few months ago there was a photo of a bloke having a pee behind a tree in a local park, posted on a local gossip etc Facebook page. The person who took the photo waffled on about how 'furious' he was blah blah, also saying "what kind of weirdo p@ss@s in a public park?!! I was tempted to reply "and what kind of weirdo photographs that 'weirdo' doing it and then posts it on social media"?!:rolleyes::laugh:

Edit...He even took and posted a pic' of the wet pee patches on the tree and floor! How sad it that, I ask!! :rolleyes:

Going a bit off topic and I've posted about it before on CC, but I can't resist! While cycling round the same park quite a few years ago I noticed a little sign on the grass verge, next to the road. Curiosity got the better of me, so I dismounted and went over to have a look. This, what looked like a hand made and very well made, small wooden placard said 'Whoever has let their dog do this then left it for someone else to remove will burn for eternity in the fires of hell"!!!!:ohmy: The 'this' was a massive dog dump and not only did they go to the trouble of making such a well made sign, they'd also stuck it right in the middle of that dog dump!!!:rofl:

I don't know if it's just me, but if I ever came across someone doing a pee on beach/woods/behind a hedge then I walk back, wait and pretend I didn't see anything. I see little point in creating an awkward situation for both people if it can be avoided. And usually (unless in a town centre) there's probably nowhere else to go and the person has little choice.

well if you come around a corner on a bike and they are just "there", that isn't an option is it?

I've been on both sides of that, when you've got to go you've got to go. A couple of times we've passed someone having a discreet squat pee at side of road in rural location, my mate just stopped himself calling out "have you got everything you need / you want a hand", thinking it was puncture stop! :whistle:

On another occasion we were both stood pointing percy at a hedge, when we heard a "clip clop" sound and then a young lady on a horse appeared down the bridal way with an elevated view over said hedge. :laugh: we did both shout a small apology for that, but she didn't seem fussed.

No totally wrong, Public Loo's are mostly closed now because of an activity by Blokes of a certain persuasion using them for an activity called 'Cottaging' ..............Google that at your peril

I walked into a bog on Eastbourne prom once and found a couple at it up against the wall.

Not quite so blatant as the ones on the canal towpath in Manchester though. I saw something going on up ahead with a lookout keeping watch, and assumed it was drug dealing, then I got closer and remembered that Manchester's gay district is called Canal St for a reason.

Hey, you've got me thinking now! Many years, even decades ago when I did agency work in factories I'd skive in the bogs for hours on end. I'd hear the foreman, or team leader as they call them now, shouting my name wondering where the feck I was.:secret: I'd lock myself in a cubicle and read a book or a newspaper, sometimes for an hour at a time. Looking back, I hope no one who knew I was skiving thought I was really hanging out in the bogs, looking for a knee trembler!!:ohmy: :unsure: 🧐
