Very sore wrists...

Went out for a ride today - 60km - normally do this circuit and am fine but knackered. However today there was a massive headwind for the first 25k and about 600m of climbing which reduced me to a crawl even on the flatter sections - once I turned and headed for home everything was more normal.

However its now 5 hrs later and my wrists are incredibly sore - any one else experienced this - maybe due to being on the hoods for so long? trying to be more areo to cut out the wind - or should i be adjusting something?

Could be because of the strong winds, you've gripped the hoods a lot tighter than you normally would, this would cause wrist / palm soreness for some time after the ride. It should pass by the morning, if you don't normally suffer with soreness on a normal ride, then it's down to the conditions and your firm grip.
