Virgin Media problems.

Customer service is one of the categories they only get 2/5 for.

When I started with them they were great

my recent experience with them is that it goes wrong very seldom
but when it does - then to get 2/5 they must have bribed someone!!

Same here.
Thay had a shop in the mall and the staff were very helpful. Closed down now so any problems you speak to someone in India.
I would change but im too old and knackered to be bothered.
On the plus side it gives me all the TV, radio, Internet I need.

That's what they said to us

contract ends and the price rockets
but if you renew then it crashes back down

makes one wonder if the "real price" - as opposed to the "discount price" is just a rip off designed to trap the unwary and persuade others to sign up for x months

I bought a second 500GB pcm Three SIM from Scancom a few weeks ago for my mobile, in addition to the other one bought just before Xmas and put in a TP-LINK NX200 5G home router. It cost a one-off fee of ~£40 and expires first week April 2028.

The deals regularly show up on HotUKDeals.

Strange, my first renewal was due end of July. Without any prompting from me I got an email in May thanking me for my custom and saying as a reward I would automatically be renewed at the same promo price for another 12 months!

No problem with Virgin media here today, but I've more frequent outages with them than anyone else.

I like the speed, but their infrastructure /technology doesn't seem nearly as reliable/resilient as Openreach's old copper pairs. We've had numerous short outages, and about four significant ones in about 20 months.

At some point I'll try Openreach full fibre.

Yes same here with VM. We are locked into them for another 20 months because no one else offered fibre, but days after signing my life away, we found out that open reach were doing our road.
