They're going to Edinburgh for the weekend. One of the things they want to do is visit a distillery. Therefore they should go to Glenkinchie, and not the naff non-distilliery visitor attraction that is The Malt Whisky experience. If they were travelling up to the highlands, then, yes, there are other distillieries to visit, but that isn't where they are going!

That reminded me about the wee police museum on the Royal Mile. It's well worth a look and there's bits and pieces, literally, about Burke and Hare. There's a small wallet made from skin belonging to one of them.
