Yeah the pitches all said 'No Ground Tents' when I looked, maybe a floating tent (a boat tent?) would be allowed lol.

A friend of mine has a houseboat there if that counts😊

I was roaming the supermarket and alarms were going off everywhere. Not mine though, despite having good reception on Giff Gaff (O2?).

I was driving home nearly 20 minutes later when it finally decided to make me leap out my skin.

We have English phone numbers but are in Greece, ours didn't go off. Maybe it detects location
Not connected to any mobile mast in the UK.

The only alerts I ever got were whilst in Ireland. One was a missing person, later a murder. The other was whilst passing Craggy Island, just outside Limerick, and was for two girls from the UK and a man and woman who they may have been travelling with.
Both were text messages received on roaming, which cost me.

It makes sense that you have to be on a UK mast to have got it

it means that they can send an alert to people known to be in specific areas in cases like flooding

rather than just people registered in that area

or incoming nuclear bombs I suppose
