England just lost the plot; the game was there for the taking IMO and the fluffed it. No offence to Wales who took their opportunities and deserved a win. Only difference appeared to be they wanted it more.

There's a few players within the English group who shouldn't be playing IMO. Balshaw just never translates on the international scene and we really should be looking for a younger hooker. And as for the manager............

In fairness to England, they did lose a couple of key players by ten mins into the second half. If you have three locks on the park and no specialist openside then you're going to struggle in the loose.

Wilkinson lost his usual armchair ride and Wales exerted pressure with the attitude of a team with nothing to lose.

I also think my pal Lardyboy was correct in his assesment of England's colossal pack. They can't run about for the full eighty minutes. They started to tire at about 65mins or so, Wales kept what ball they could win and the gaps opened up in midfield which led to the English forwards conceding penalties; a dead givaway that the pack is worried about the speed of the opposition's attack.

What gave me most pleasure was the way Wales kept the ball in England's 22 for a full eleven minutes at the end of the game and out-England England. A drop-goal would have finished the game off earlier and heaped another insult on, but Byrne,(Welsh full-back) was not in the full-back position as protection in case Hook(fly-half) didn't complete the DG. Good decision to not attempt that manouvre IMO.

Cymru Am Byth! Twrch-dyn bob Sais!
