Welsh Ban on Yorkshire Parkin Cake

This is the M4 between Cardiff and Swansea, spotted this painted on the road, I didn't know they felt quite this strongly about parkin but there's the proof.

Well that all depends on which sort you have. Baked old english gingerbread is often classed as parkin. Which it's not true parkin is anything but a brick.

Funny you should say that. I just got my recipe for parkin out and decided to make one when I saw this thread courtesy of Dave. Spooky or what.
