Weird, and a real insight into the human mind, if we could understand why this is believed.
It's part of our nature to find patterns, we have a part of the brain dedicated to it, and it's very useful.

It's also part of our nature to justify anything we or our loved ones do. It helps us stay within a societal group.

The problem is when our place in society and food/safety needs are met, what do these parts of the brain do all day?

Like staring at TV static (an obsolete concept now I suppose), we start to imagine things by putting those parts of the brain to work.

Hey, you leave Macca alone.

He's past it now, but is one the greatest pop songwriters and a gifted musician, being able to play almost any instrument.

Evil communist dictator, lover of gerbils & Pope.
There is still a large hardcore of people who believe the landings were faked.
Flapping flags etc..
C5 has another documentary on tonight about it.

I know it's awful, especially as my other half is physics teacher, but I don't care one way or another.

If they actually went to the moon, well good on them if not, well, those were some great production values there.

Not sure why we need to go to the moon, TBH.

P. S. I like Macca, especially when he reminded us all that there are far more annoying fools out there by doing a song with Kanye.

....was fortunate enough to visit the Science Museum in London on my last UK visit. They have a full size model of the Apollo 11 Lunar Module 'Eagle'. One thing struck me immediately was how big it really was, way bigger than I'd have thought without seeing it!

Best though, was the actual Apollo 10 Command Module, the real McCoy, used in the final rehearsal for the big one. When you see it up close with all its re-entry battle scars, hard to imagine how such stuff could be faked. Anyways, check it out if you get the chance - no better way to spend a few hours...........

Amazing engineering - I visited the spaceflight museum in Washington DC some years ago and the construction of the lunar modules are is mind-boggling.

They look really Heath Robinson with their haphazard riveting and sheets of bacofoil.

Those guys had big balls to venture far from Earth in those things.
