Must say that I've enjoyed reading this thread, it's been very interesting indeed! Would you mind me asking what, you think of the Focus Cayo in comparison to the Cube Agree? I quite like the look of both these bikes; and can get a Cayo demonstration model for about £880, What do you think the 2011, Cube Agree bikes will come down to ££ in the end of season sales? I'm 5ft.10in in height, could I get away with a 53cm frame in the Cube Agree? Was thinking of a 54cm in the Focus Cayo.

Thanks

M

Hi Moss
I must say I've no experience of riding a Focus Cayo but according to alot of guys on here they are very well rated, what I've seen of them on the road they do look very similar to the Cube Agree not sure of spec details of the Cayo but methinks it's 105 gearing which is great for normal everyday riding.
As for ur sizing for a Cube I would def go for a 56 frame, I'm about 5,9'' and I can just about put up with a 53 frame after a few tweaks.
Hope I've helped a wee bit. ;-)
PS Regarding the pricing of Cube bikes, I'm sure I saw a Agree GTC Race dropped down from £1845 to £1400 thereabouts so maybe it's worth surfing around over the next couple of weeks.

Yes, very helpful, thank you! A 53cm, may do for me as I have long legs but I'm short in the body? Tried a 56cm, in a Specialised Allez and it was too big a frame for comfort! Thanks for the heads up on the £prices.

I looked at the Cayo as it was about 300 cheaper than the GTC pro..only draw back for me was it was through wiggle online..and I would like to have sat on it before handing over my hard earned. Also componants were slightly lower spec.

Also from reading the reviews It appeared to me that the Cayo was a bit more nose down than the cube.

Managed to get £180 off list price from a local ish bike store

I'm 5'11" and have a 58" Cube.

just got back from a 36miler this morning..and still mightly impressed with it....mates still giving me nice looking bike comments

You'll find the Cube has quite a short top tube for it's size against most other makes. As Tiswas-Steve says, the 53cm may well be a bit small. I'm 5'10" and the 56cm is perfect.

Good call ... I had a little blast round the North Downs today followed by a frothy coffee at PSG in Crystal Palace.

Sounds perfect! I have a daughter living in Richmond, she's just bought an Allez 18, 52cm, her boyfriend has a carbon custom build bike and a single speed commuter bike! They ride in Richmond Park with one of the London Cycling Clubs. next time I visit them, I'll look for a shop selling the Cube; and have a sit on one! Found a few retailers selling them for £1399.00 they look very smart and have a good spec, I'm tempted.

Thanks for the information! I' m going to look for a Cube bike to sit on before I decide! You and Steve could be correct; and I'd need a 56cm in the Cube?

Cube GTC Pro! Best price at Hargroves Cycles £1349.00

Cycle surgery no longer have the Cube Carbon Range? Well I couldn't find them on the Cycle-Surgery Web Site!

I like the GTC Race!

Hope the sales begin with a drastic reduction in prices.
