The final straw today
Spent last week feverishly servcing and converting machines to go to Cyprus.
Then they told me its off.
Then they told me its on, but for Egypt.
Spent today rebuilding a PC (1 out of 3) and loading it with software for the machines, testing it, carting it all over the site.
Then had to take 2 of the machines off test and give them a final clean.
Put the last machine online to test...then i was told it may not be on after all :tongue:!

Ive spent a week emailing Cyprus to check air pressures, voltages, setups etc etc etc...and yesterday doing the same with Egypt.

On the plus side...i have on old, but working Smart front LED light with green LEDs. It wasnt very bright. Desoldered it all and fitted some brighter white LEDs. Its reet good now

Finally started to catch up with work....have a couple of clear days to do all the things I've piled up due to endless reports for this, that, budgets, annual returns yadda yadda..... All the niggling little jobs should be sorted by end of play tomorrow - actually felt like I'd got somewhere today.

I went to work at 8 am then at 9 am I went to the local bike shop and collected the manager and 3 bikes and several boxes of kit.
All these transported to work for a few hours to show the others what they're missing out on.
Good to keep on the right side of the LBS manager!!

Got up about 9 to have a coffee with Ms RT before she went to work (it's her birthday). Then went back to bed for a bit. Went for a walk to look at the swollen River Wye, which has gone down a bit since Saturday, then went shopping for the ingredients for a chocolate cake which i failed to complete before going to work around 3pm. Moved two tankers of cider effluent and one of water, and am now sitting in the canteen on the laptop before going home in an hour or so. It's not a bad life.:becool:

Lots of project planning & scheduling, and took two kittens to the vet to be zipped. Orange Boy is still purring, so I don't think he's yet figured out what they've done to him. :-)

RIP my trusted old Roland VS 1880:sad::angry::sad:

It's been a close friend for over 6 years now, and I miss it already. It's gonna cost me more to fix it than to get a replacement off ebay, so finally its time to ditch the old ways and jump into bed totally with Reaper:ohmy:. Think of me as I join the dark side:evil:

I think I will bury it at sea:evil:;).

Woke up at 7, went for a quick run before a 9am lecture. Wrote 2000 words (of a 3000 word paper) about W M Davis, the legendary geomorphologist. Played some xbox live, now about to eat and go to the pub.

I've hardly had a spare minute today and the only thing that stands out was quite firmly hitting myself in the face with a lump of ply this morning.

That cheered us up

I've been yelled at, kicked at and slapped by my 28 month-old daughter, who was determined to do anything and everything we didn't want her to. Even the things we were happy to let her do, she took to excess. There's a limit to the number of times an adult can watch a Scooby Doo DVD.

More positively, I did manage to Hoover (or "Dyson") my WaterRower. Now it just needs four new AA batteries for its 'puter and it'll be out of its 4+ year retirement and standing by for those days when I fancy an alternative means of getting fit. Every home should have one.
