Now sit down and don't panic !! I got my full CF Cube very wet due to a rainy commute home today. Will it melt ? Will it corrode to a pile of dust ?? Just to play safe I got a towel out and hand dried each component and put every bit into the oven on a low setting.
I will now spend the rest of the day in panic.

Any bubbles coming off of it yet? If you look carefully the weave will be rapidly reknitting itself

It's plastic. What's it going to do, precisely??
Seriously, it's worth drying it off (although I never bother) but it'll be fine.
It's the drenched components that'll object, if anything does.

clear all weather tape from aldi 2.99 for a lifetime supply it'll stop those nasty cable housing rubs and can act as a chain stay protector as well:thumbsup: - An absolute must for any carbon bike - Mind to use a hair dryer to apply

You should take a sample of the rain and test its PH, then compare it to your particular batch of carbon fibre. Only then will you know if its safe to ride the bike again.

i believe that they make boat hulls by standing cf bikes in a boat mould and lightly spray with water - i should invest in black armband
