Ok, so i am new to this forum, been on others, some are great, some are good and some are ....

but i always ask this question, its a bit of fun and shows others ingenuity and frankly i am looking for further inspiration as i am fast running out of ideas.

so what do you do when you have a new purchase to bring home? 300 quid on a pair of wheels - got them at a bargain half price love, new bike computer - the old one pinged off its mount on a ride dear, new gear - look love i could cycle about on team aldi gear all day but assos is more comfy and the tops were on sale at 25 quid

do you smuggle? does stuff appear in the garage, has it 'been there for ages love', ive been known to stick shorts, pedals etc up me joompa

do you get your online retailed to mark your parcel 'CONGRATULATIONS: YOUVE WON' when that pair of madfiber wheels hits your doorstep?

Lets hear them folks, there has to be some belters in there

Up to me what I spend my money on as long as the bills and rent are getting covered.
Sorry, I've been caught out on this forum before by assuming something was a serious comment when it was in fact a spoof, so please just reassure me - this is a spoof, isn't it?

swanson - of course its a bit of fun, i do smuggle stuff into the house but i always declare it once im wearing it, or its on the bike, or if she finds it first ;)

i was chatting to a chap once who literally DID get the online supplied to put a big congratulations sign on his new purchase' box - i thought that was brilliant, funny and forward thinking

I had a colleague who got around this problem (temporarily) by having his Wiggle purchases delivered to his workplace. The new components always looked similar to the old bits. The bits were changed over in the lunch hour and the old dear never noticed. Unfortunately for him, he told her brother and he let it slip when at a pub. He seemed to lose interest after that. He used to keep his bike spotless, but soon it started to become muddy. Don't know what the problem was TBH - she sprung a weekend in New York on him once, which seems the height of reckless consumerism to me. Anyway they're not together any more.

I say "I have spent my hard earned money on some Mavic Aksiums. Deal with it" and then I go and fit them.

I don't feel the need to pretend anything was half price or that I have won it in a competition. If hubby doesn't like what I spend the money that I earn on, he can go stuff himself.
