Terms of Endearment. Enjoyed it a lot. Jack Nicholson was never more Jack Nicholson. Makes a great double act with Shirley Maclaine. A well-crafted 7/10.
You seem to do that quite a lot, judging by your reviews. Very selfless of you, I must say.If you waste electricity watching this you're a menace to society. I only did it so you don't have to.
Arrival.
I wish it hadn't arrived. Dreadful tosh. What could have been an interesting film was spoiled by many things.
In no particular order: loud music / deep resonant alieny type noises over quietly spoken dialogue, actors mumbling, stereotypical army types macho-ing about the place, super advanced aliens spraying watery ink to comunicate ?? WTF? Helicopters zooming left right and centre pointlessly, vague storyline, the hoary old trope of powerful nations ignoring what would be the most astonishing development in all human history and worrying only about petty squabbles.
Oh and ....I still don't know what she said that saved the day. Mercyfully I didn't pay to watch it.
Edit: @gbb Just read your review.Sorry but it didn't get me at all.
