Iron Sky: the Coming Race. Every conspiracy theory you have ever thought of (and then some), topped off with a lizard-Hitler riding a Tyrannosaurus. A worthy successor to the original.

I Swear - at the pictures last week. Excellent film based on the true story of a Tourettes sufferer and his work to help others understand it.
Maxine Peak and Peter Mullen as the big names and the lead actor is also in the Lord of the Rings TV series. Very funny and touching too.
Well worth a visit to your local big screen.

The Stranger on Netflix. Australian film about a police undercover operation in a child murder case, based on a true story.

Won't be for everyone, but I thought it was absolutely fantastic.

Great film....even though it's an uneasy watch ! I've watched it a couple of times ,Sean Harris is one of my favourite actors, gives me the creeps just thinking of him in that movie.
Have you seen Nitram...maybe give yourself a week or so before any more dark films but it's good.😁

Yeah, was really unsettling how his deeply unpleasant character was gradually revealed to the undercover guy who was having to act as his friend.

I read the family of the real murder victim were very much against the film (perhaps understandable) but to me it was a great tribute to the incredible work of the police and showed the toll it took on the undercover officer.

Would quite like to read the book about the operation to find out exactly how they did it in reality.

Thunderball on DVD (our 007 run up to Christmas) always a good interesting film to watch. Gets a bit confusing around the carnival sequence pity the fab red head got shot though.

Only bettered by From Russia With Love when it comes to the Connery films, and that goes for the theme tune as well.

The Crime Is Mine (BBC4 last night, on iPlayer). Highly entertaining French farce. Isabelle Huppert splendid as formerly-successful-actress whose crime it actually was. Even the end credits were funny.

And the fight scene on the train between Connery and Robert Shaw is absolutely brutal.

The whole film's done in the same way, it's a sort of believable story rather than an over the top gadgetfest like some of the later films.

And can you imagine having those two gypsy girls fighting over you? 😂
