A bit premature, but that Peaky Blinders film looks promising.

Reminds me of one of my favourite/least favourite reviews on Amazon before they got their validation shizzle together and you could review albums before they were even released.
Blue Nile - Hats: ***** it's gonna be brilliant

Started watching Three Billboards outside Ebbing Missouri yet again.

Just one of best films ever. Just love Woody Harrelson and Frances McDormand in it. Foul mouthed deadpan humour at it's best.

The Truman Show
Ahead of it's time in it's depiction of people being hyper interested in reality type shows, reels, videos as they are now. It's very touching and only gets more so every time you watch it. A good game to play is trying to spot all the cameras they have setup.

24 Hour Party People

The story of Factory Records and the Hacienda nightclub, it's pure nostalgia for me as although I'm too young to have experienced this, the locations they film at around Manchester are very recognizeable Inc the old Gilly's Rockworld, Ritzy Ballroom and The Apollo theatre. Apparently Steve Coogan knew Tony Wilson and had worked with him, and performed at the Hacienda in the 1980s. Its a simple film that deals very well with some difficult issues.

Two of my favourites. The Truman Show in particular.

Shelter (2026 film) https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shelter_(2026_film)

Jason Statham sort of says it all. Low budget (even compared to a lot of his previous offerings). Limited budget indicated by sets (eg deserted Scottish Island is a cheap easily controlled location. Bill Nighy but he probably managed all his appearances in just 1 day filming.

But OK, as you'd expect from a Jason Statham film. Held my attention but maybe not as much as some of his previous films.

Watched my fave film, Interstellar, on the box last autumn. Now at the BFI Imax about to see it again on a 20 metre high screen!

Rambo Last Blood.

A bit more like the original First Blood in style rather than the standard action film sequels, I think Stallone judged it nicely and knows when it's time to call it a day.

6/10.

We went to the Salisbury Everyman to see Mothers Pride, I loved it. Right up my street, British comedy, almost obvious storyline but lots of laughs. It was either a sell out or certainly very few empty seat.

Had a burger & chips during the film, which was ok, took our own Lidl Starmix & a bottle of water.

Primate - 6/10

I love a creature based B movie as much as the next dude who loves creature based B movies, and this does have a lot going for it. But unfortunately it doesn't really click, mostly because of the weird way the primate, Ben (and this isn't giving anything away), goes from cute to rabies powered death machine just because.

I do appreciate B Movies getting more mainstream attention in recent years, but there's better out there.
