What film did you watch last night?

The End of Oak Street.
I can't decide whether it was a good film or not. I guess I enjoyed it, but I was expecting a lot more.

Yeah, I think that's fair. Promised a lot, delivered not much.

Loved that film in the cinema. Hilarious by the end.

Yebbut, I'm pretty sure it wasn't meant to be funny. The problem was that for at least the last half hour or so it completely lost any notion of what it was meant to be.

Did not follow the series for ‘reasons’, but the odd episode I caught was good watching,

Under the Shadow, atmospheric supernatural horror set in 1980s Tehran during the Iran-Iraq war. Made me jump out of my skin on occasion, and the actress that played the young girl character did a fantastic job.
