First derailleur lasted over 10K miles before it had to be replaced due to unrelated failure so I'll carry on.

I don't do it, and my derailleur has 30,000km on it. So everyone should follow me!

I have . The hook end stretched and kept slipping off. I took it apart to try and fix but it was past fixing. About 30k miles . Replaced with new and within 3 months had broken the bottom bracket on the frame so it's now sat in the spares box
