Miki Berenyi Trio at the Tree House, Frome.
Schlepped over from Taunton for a slice of 90's shoegaze nostalgia.
Always had a bit of thing for Miki......

Wet Leg - everything a band should be. Noisy and fun. Really good.

Yes, at the soon to be renamed (again) Pryzm.
When I saw them there 3 years ago, they were seeing themselves as a duo (with three others on stage) which seemed a bit unfair to the hairy bloke making a lot of noise. Now very much a 5 piece band with one frontwoman.

Charming but somewhat feckless
Location
Scotland
Doobie Brothers at the Hydro.

A disappointingly short gig, at 90 minutes, no support act and no encore. Also let down by very poor sound system which drowned out the vocals in favour of bass and drums.

5/10

The review in The Times of the same show had an encore ending with Listen to the Music.
90 minutes is ok, but you'd want a support act, I agree.

Day of release of the new album so probably 50% new stuff. Should be good.

I saw the email last night and managed to get 2 tickets, album and cd. It’s a weird purchase format they have if you want >1 ticket. I’ll be offloading the cd as soon as it arrives! I’m not complaining though, it’s great to have the option to see live music so locally. Also got a single ticket last week for Wet Leg in December.

Thanks for the reminder anyway KG!

If you buy just a ticket they charge a booking fee, if you buy ticket plus CD no fee, so the CD ends up being £2.80. Bargain.

The pricing on the CD LP ticket combo was especially good though.

Next for me there is Black Honey on 14th August who are superb. Strong recommend. Plenty tickets still available for only £12.

As long as I breathe, I attack.
Ha, I was there doing the same yesterday. Two daughters went in, I read a book outside.

After half an hour I ended up sitting in the foyer on the level 5 with a beer looking at my phone for nearly 3 hours .mini CK 1 enjoyed it so that's all that matters.Getting out of the car park wasn't as bad as I thought it was going to be and got to premier inn we booked at kings Langley around midnight.mini CK 1 is still fast asleep.
