Puzzle game procrastinator!
I sometimes get selective dyslexia, for a moment I read that as spelled with an 'R' , 'E'. & , 's'
That has just given me a flashback to 56 years ago sitting in a class with 32 other silly schoolboys, us all howling with laughter at the German word for 'airline' - 'luftfahrtgesellschaft'. The teacher was incredibly annoyed with us for being so immature, which made it even funnier!

I had something happen like that when I was a teacher #can't remember the detail not but it was similar and I just didn;t see it when I decided to show the website as part of my lesson

I think I gain a lot of respect from the kids by just realising and letting them laugh for a minute or so before shutting it all down

I think I was a weird teacher!

addendum - one of the programs I used to get the kids to use was called GIMP

I was expected some hilarity every year when I introduced it but it never happened!!!

I've noticed I gain a lot of respect from clients when I laugh with them and take some time before suggesting we need to get back to work. Ultimately, they work better and are more productive.

I have a colleague who is technically far more competent than me, but hasn't worked this out yet.

After way too much time / deliberation (3 months ?) today i’ve finally found the frame for the start of building up the ‘dream’ daily 20” BMX rider 😁 *Need to speak the shop selling it on Monday about something; but…..

As well as now thinking about forks, cranks and wheels. To get those “big” components nailed per-se:

Tonight I’ve ordered my very favourite grips, chain, seat-clamp (UK CNC made - and the same as already on my FIT 22”) and brake pads. As they aren’t going change whatever…..😁

While I am still using butyl tubes, topping up and adjusting pressures once a week will probably be fine. If I switch to TPU tubes I will see how often they need looking at.

IME the TPU tubes hold pressure better than the butyl tubes. They only seem to drop a few PSI over a few weeks, wear as the butyl tubes will drop about 10.

I have one of these - there is definitely a knack to using it.

A bluetooth speaker for the town bike*.
Some bone conducting headphones.

An MKS pedal spanner and some ball bearings to see if I can get the Sylvan Touring pedals to be anywhere near as smooth as the Sylvan Touring Next pedals. I read that they are much better with more grease and an extra bearing.

Oh and another Garmin out front mount.

*It turns out playing loudish music is great when filtering past stationary cars. As well as being noticed more and allowed space to pass, I'm getting a lot of smiles.

@PedallingNowhereSlowly - there's someone in Dewsbury who does the same thing. I do wonder which type of music works best?

These seem to go down well:

Blue Monday, True Faith (New Order)
Enjoy the Silence (Depech Mode)
Paint It, Black (The Rolling Stones)
Seven Nation Army (The White Stripes)
Shout (Tears for Fears)

I think the key is finding recognisable tracks that have broad appeal.

  • Another rack top trunk bag. For the new bike.
  • Another rotary bell. For the new bike.
  • Another set of Cateye RR-550 wheel reflectors. For the new bike.
  • Another set of MKS Sylvan Touring pedals + reflectors, as the set I had on the shelf were destined for another bike but wound up on the new bike.

Seriously, no more bikes after this.

Yesterday knowing my commuter's rear tyre was on the way out, I bought the replacement (well a new 28mm replacement for the good bike and it's 25mm will go on the commuter). I also got some more Peaty's sealant although I maybe should have got Stans Race or Orange Seal. Peaty seals fast and is easy to pour but it doesn't seem to hold shut a longer tear.
