My wife got me a few of the Lemon flavour. And I have already finished a couple of ‘rolls’. More than happy with them 👍
That's interesting
@sevenfourate - do you mean £1.25 for a tube of 20?
Surely the 10 can't refer to 10 tubes of 20?! If so, that would be insanely cheap!
The main reason I like the High 5 tabs, is I love the taste, never seem to tire of it (Reminds me of old school refresher sweets if anyone remembers them?) and the ones I choose have caffeine added, 75mg per tablet, and in a 750ml bottle you use 1.5 tablets.
I've tried orange high 5 powders before, but I find them too sweet, and for me it really grates after a while, but with this one, I can easily consume 1.5l or it, and feel totally fine.
They do tend to last me an age, the last batch I bought was probably 4 years ago, and I don't often use them for turbo session, unless it's a real longun, but out on the road I find them really useful - especially for something like ride London, or a 200k ride.
A great partnership (for me) when combined with the Clif Bloks - again with added caffeine!
I've experimented with MANY different products over the too many years of cycling, and am very happy/settled with both the clif bloks and high 5 tabs. Generally happy with the clif bars, but that is an area where I am open to other options.
I did try gels more than once, and they simply were not for me, both in terms of trying to eat them on the go, as well as how my body dealt with them. The bloks are great, I can pop an open packet in my back pocket, or top tube bag, or bib short pocket, pull the pack out one handed, and squeeze a block directly into my cakehole before returning the pack to it's previous location. I'm not a confident no handed rider, so I appreciate such practicalities.
Do those Lemon ones above have any caffeine added?
Could be a more cost effective option for my partner, as she isn't that keen on the caffeine angle, but the electrolyte side would still prove useful.
Randomly, and for the first time ever, we have a home bargains only a couple of miles away, and I ventured in for the first time on Saturday, and last night as it happens, but didn't even think to look for anything like this.
Do they tend to have a 'sports' section do you know, or just hunt around to see where they might be?
