Didn’t quite get all these today: but….

I had a few New-School spares tucked away in a box. And I thought “I could do better than that ‘! So I’ve got a glass fronted display cabinet for the Man-Cave arriving tomorrow. Where I shall keep both my newly purchased; and existing ‘spares’ for the two modern riders. Plus any other BMX parts I buy 😁

For riding some of my bikes…….

I’ve had a couple of pairs of Old School Vans. Which were in the most part thin, not very forgiving / shock absorbing / padded; and I wasn’t a fan ☹️

So…..my first pair of Knu School. Hoping their a bit more sumptuous…..🤷‍♂️

Thanks but no thanks. I think I'll pass.
I have an Ebike and have just bought a special bag for my battery. Its supposed to be fireproof and explosion proof as well.

it cost me £22 from Amazon

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Threw a bid on eBay and picked up a Dura-Ace 9000 crankset. Technically I don't need it but it'll probably become a spare instead of an Ultegra one I have, which can be sold. Also a Bontrager Paradigm saddle cheaply as a spare.

I had got really annoyed with the crappy Promax rear brake on my CAADX. I had already replaced the front brake but had put up with the rear on the grounds that strong braking performance wasn't needed. The problem was though that getting the brake to work at all meant having the static pad very close to the disk, which made it almost impossible to stop it rubbing.

So, I went on ebay to see if I could find something better at a good price. I spotted a bargain - a pair of lightly used TRP Spyres for less than I was willing to spend on just one! And then the vendor accepted a lower bid...

The brake callipers arrived today and they are almost immaculate!

A mate came round and announced that he needs a single calliper too so he is buying one of them. That means I have a replacement brake for £18.50!

3 pairs of flat pedals and a football. Ok the football isn't necessary for the bike.

Finish Line Ceramic Wet lube, starting to run out. I've found the ceramic dry wax lubes don't go on very sparingly - tried it after accidentally clicking on Finish Line Ceramic Wax, and not my usual Ceramic Wet. Much prefer the wet as it's easy to wipe excess, goes a heck of a long way, and survives any wet commutes. The wax stuff just doesn't last as long and you use more 'fluid' per application.

After finding exactly the same as you with similarly targeted BananaSlip Tungsten Lubes (*Both great lubes and I can very clearly hear the smoothness after a clean-up and lubing)….I mixed one of each types together ! It mixed ok. Just was a little wasteful decanting out / back in again; and spilling some in the sink 🙄

But I think it kinda then keeps the best properties of both. Going on better / thinner. But getting a clear coverage like the wax……

Feeling brave 🤣

**Another spare Slic (Brake) Kable got me free postage.

And including: These rubber-lined Aluminium; and very tactile - inline cable adjusters for the rear. They are the Bomb !

Some Flush-Fit Ti bolts that should look good 👍

And an Odyssey Mid BB kit as a spare. Just because these fit most everything now. And it’s Odyssey 😁

I swapped the calipers over from SRAM Rival to Hope RX4's a few years back, but still retained the old SRAM rotors. Given the much larger surface area of the pads in the Hope calipers it was never ideal and I would often suffer rotor warpage from heat on long descents. So I finally decided to purchase a 180mm Hope floating rotor for the front. I'll get around to the rear one later, but for now I'll see how I get on with the front one.

I also bought two new Schwalbe Kojaks for the Tern along with some Lube, Cables and other bits and bobs for general upkeep and maintenance on the bikes.
