A couple of additions to the gravel bike today. A Rockbros bar end bell from AliExpress. Also a Kinesis shorty rear mudguard to keep off the worst of the crap from the back wheel.

Decided my 2018 Scott Foil needs a bit of loving - out will come the latex tubes, and 25mm GP5000s - the low mileage tyres I am going to move across to my 2012 CR1 SL, which also needs a bit of a revamp, and 25mm, at least at the rear is the absolute max.

So I have ordered some Aerothan 100mm valve inner tubes for it from the generally reliable Tweeks cycles.

Searching for a semi decent price on 28mm GP5000s took a bit of work, Halfords want over £60 for one! (I realise I can add various discounts in there, but even so) Ended up going to the ever reliable Lordgun, where a pair with postage is £80 - not cheap, but I recall paying those sorts of prices from Merlin several years ago - Merlin are currently selling them for £50 each, or a pair for £100 with 2 free inner tubes, but as I'm almost exclusively on TPU now, that's not any good to me.
Interested to see how the Foil runs on the 28s - that was what it came with, but I'm a bit more old school and reverted back to 25s.

Just agreed have my groupset upgraded from Apex to Rival Etap at our LBS

Hoping it might be done by the end of the weeK, but relying on deliveries.

What's L-E-L, some mega ride? Sounds like it if you need a ton of spares.

Barnet,
I've just ordered a new pair of Panaracer Pasela 700c x 28 tan wall tyres for the Raleigh Royal. The tyres on it are 32mm Vittoria Zaffiro's and they feel very spongey and sluggish.

My tyres are on the way too - where did you source yours from, or are they the TR ones?

Also, which shorts are they please?

Merlin Cycles. They're clinchers GP5000 28mm 700c. I run with inner tubes.
Bib shorts Castelli Competizione 2 SS25.

I find Merlin pretty good on prices and good service plus the loyalty scheme means can build up discount.
