Today I ordered a Tailfin 2.2 litre long top tube bag and a couple more of their packing cubes.

I’m hoping I now have everything I could possibly need for LEJOG starting the last week in May.

First aid kit

Having reread my notes from the last first aid course I attended I added a strip of aspirin to the first aid bag.

DCLane

Found in the Yorkshire hills ...
Bits and pieces:

- A pair of Alé cargo bib shorts. Thought they might be too small but fit OK.
- A 36T Shimano 8000 chainring as a spare
- Some chainring bolts for non-Dura-Ace chainrings
- A 53 tooth chainring for Dura-Ace 9000 / similar, which I'll need the bolts I also bought
- A right-hand new Dura-Ace 9100 pedal as it was just £13 delivered and I use them anyway

Oh, and I'm picking up this shortly - a 1984 Peugeot with 531 Professionel tubing and I'm hoping it's a PY10LS model:

Today I visited my LBS and bought spare valve stems for my G1800 wheels and some brake caliper bolts. The bolts are strictly M5 x 35 cap head screws to replace Torx of the same size. Now I don’t need to carry a T25.
Whilst there I ordered some spare spokes for the same wheels and a TPU patch kit.

All in preparation for LEJOG in 9 weeks time.

Good luck...slightly jealous here as I would love to say I have done lejog but don't think I could stand the pace
Will you be doing a write up about your prep and then how it's going/went. I for one would be very interested.

Just ordered am Elite Avanti trainer. DC Rainmaker seemed to review it well and I wanted something not too bulky to replace my Suito. Hopefully Elite's support team will sort out my Suito, I think its just locked into a bluetooth mode as their app recognised it was there but couldn't talk to it. If they do fix it I'll probably donate it to the kids in the club.

Not so much 'What have you bought for the bike today?', more 'What they gave me to do with cycling today'!

I am down in Devon for Easter and was just given some surprises by my sister and niece...

Looking at photos of epic bike rides is probably the nearest I will get to them. (I really do not see myself cycling from Egypt to South Africa, or doing any of the other epic rides!)

Couple of fork mounts for the van. I'll fit to a wood base (or two) that I can then bolt to the seat rails in the van floor. Got a couple of trips where we are taking bikes so this will ensure the bikes don't move about. I already have the floor 'T' nuts.

……..with ‘Clear-Blue’ Cro-mo axle: Welgo pedals. That were reasonably expensive.

Below on the left (*Welgo on the right) is a pair of Vavert I stumbled across on line. And were very very cheap. I also had a hunch - so bought 2 pairs (Future spares) and a £0.30p item to get over the £20 threshold - and qualify for free postage too 👍

PANARACER Pasela tyres with Amberwall:

For my favourite ride: *Which I think is going to look great with Amberwalls on 👍

*And even I’m not absolutely smitten with the look - a Three-quarters of a KG 😳 weight-loss over the fat / heavy / but very protective Schwalbe Big Ben’s should be somewhat positively noticeable I imagine 👍
